Guess what I signed today? The first 1000 copies of House of Hades, kept under lock and key at the Disney Publishing offices in New York. These will be shipped out to various booksellers in time for the release date on October 8. Yes, I know it’s unfair of me to show you this picture, but rejoice: the book is a real thing! It’s always a thrill to see the newest book up close and personal for the first time. 583 pages, in case you’re wondering, not including the glossary, etc. In other news, I wore a purple shirt to go to New York today, and packed an orange one for the trip back. Totally unplanned. And now, I shall rest my signing hand in a bucket of ice …

What do you think will happen with the characters? With Percy and Annabeth stuck in Tartarus and fans taking either Frank or Leo’s side, I’m guessing House of Hades will be a pretty explosive book. Sound off in the comments section down below.
